Wellbeing

At Narrandera High School, we recognise that student wellbeing is fundamental to successful learning and personal growth. Our wellbeing program is designed to support the physical, emotional, social, and mental health of every student. Student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We understand that a supportive and nurturing environment is essential for every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

How we support student wellbeing

We provide a safe and inclusive environment where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Our dedicated wellbeing team works closely with students, families, and staff to promote resilience, positive relationships, and healthy lifestyles. Our comprehensive wellbeing program includes an Intervention Centre that provides targeted support for students who may need extra assistance to overcome challenges and stay on track.

At Narrandera High School we have a range of initiatives including a Student Support Officer, Aboriginal Education Officers, counselling services available on site and via telehealth, wellbeing workshops, participation in The Resilience Project and other extracurricular activities.  Through these initiatives we foster a culture of respect, kindness, and connectedness across the school community. Our passionate and dedicated Year Advisers play a key role in guiding and supporting students throughout their schooling journey, ensuring their individual needs are met. Regular year group meetings offer opportunities for students to connect, reflect, and engage in activities that promote resilience, respect, and positive relationships. Together with our dedicated wellbeing team, we work in partnership with families and the wider community to foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering school culture.

At Narrandera High School, we are committed to nurturing every student's wellbeing, so they feel supported, confident, and ready to succeed.
